If ever the cliché that a scoreline doesn't accurately reflect the true story of a game
applies, this is it. Forced to play with only 10 for the entire 1st Half due to the late arrival of
two ladies, Russets were 0-3 at the break although that included a deflected short corner
OG and a dubious P Flick. Restored to full strength Marden hit back with two goals to
narrow the gap but then conceded the crucial fourth. With temperatures more akin to Mid
Summer, the effort had taken its toll and the game became somewhat stretched with the
hosts benefiting from another OG and three goals in the last five minutes. Ho-Hum
