| A new season begins - training on Mondays | 01/09/2010 |
Club training will again be on Monday evenings, starting on 6th September at 7pm. There will be even more competition for places this season, so give yourself a head start by coming along from day one. Rob Hillier will lead the earlier sessions, helping us to prepare our bodies for the season ahead, and we will be learning new skills from a number of qualified coaches who will share the workload through a rota system. The bar will be open afterwards for a quick chat before heading home. See you there...
| A new season begins - changes in personnel | 01/09/2010 |
I am delighted to say that most of the management team that served us all so well last season remains in place for the new term - there have been a few changes though...
After several years of sterling service, Phil Kennedy has finally escaped the role of men's fixtures secretary, to be replaced by Chris Courtney.
Gerard Venes has stepped down from the Men's 4th XI captaincy, although he will stay on as vice-captain. Phil Bishop has kindly stepped forward to captain the side. We have a full set of new vice-captains in the men's teams, so we also welcome aboard Stuart Finlayson, Luke Thain, Paul Hamlyn and Will Steel.
Sandra remains at the helm of the Ladies' 1st XI, aided and abetted by the ubiquitous Charlotte Sharp.
Julia Moen has kindly agreed to remain at the helm of the junior section, although we will be splitting the role during the next few months to allow others to step into the fray.
